Fines Under SER Postponed

The 2nd Amendment to the Salary Enforcement Regulation, published on 13 July 2017, changes the fine enforcement date to 1 January 2018.

The Amendment amends, Section 7(e) to change the fine enforcement date from 1 July 2017 to 1 January 2018. It also introduces Section 7(f), which invalidates any fine imposed on a person under Section 7(b) of this Regulation from 26 March 2017 onwards. The subsection also requires any government authority that collected any fine amounts, to return it to the respective party within 30 days from the publishing of the 2nd Amendment.
